This small scanner installed very easily on my dual-boot XP Pro and Windows 7 Home Premium PC.The front panel controls allows for easy selection of COPY/SCAN/PDF/EMAIL functions.The resulting scanned document has decent color reproduction JPG or PDF. The bundled Canon Utilities are useful and easy to use.Since I use Adobe Photoshop 7, I have no need for the included ArcSoft software. It is very light and easily packed inside a 17" laptop case for ease of transport.I think this is a very good value to buy from Amazon.com all the more because of the free and fast shipping..
